At SixOneSix Dentistry for Children, our board-eligible pediatric dentists bring specialized training from Harvard, the University of Michigan, and Riley Hospital for Children. They understand that children are not "little adults" and provide gentle, compassionate care tailored to every stage of childhood.
Dr. Aimee C. Valleau, DDS
Pediatric Dentist
I have wanted to be a dentist for as long as I can remember. In fact, my dream of becoming a dentist began during a fourth-grade career day while growing up in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
After earning my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, I attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, graduating in 1994. I then completed a two-year pediatric dentistry residency at Harvard University's Children's Hospital Boston, graduating in 1996. Today, I am a board-certified pediatric dentist with more than 30 years of experience helping children build healthy smiles and positive dental habits that can last a lifetime.
One of the things I enjoy most about pediatric dentistry is getting to know children and their families. My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable environment where children feel safe, parents feel informed, and every visit is a positive experience.
I am proud to be a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Michigan Dental Association (MDA), West Michigan Dental Society (WMDS), College of Diplomates (CDD), and Kent County Dental Society (KCDS).
My husband, Chris, and I met while attending dental school and knew that Grand Rapids would be a wonderful place to build our careers and raise a family. We have three children — Abby, C.J., and Maggie.
When I'm not in the office, I enjoy traveling with my family, cooking, and playing golf.
Dr. Christopher E. VanDeven, DDS
Pediatric Dentist
I was born and raised in Michigan, and thanks to the encouragement of my mother, a dental hygienist, I chose to pursue a career in dentistry — a piece of advice I'm grateful I listened to.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Hope College, where I met my wife, and went on to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After dental school, I completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland. I then spent an additional year completing a fellowship in Public Health Dentistry with the Howard County Health Department in Maryland, where I provided dental care to children who lacked medical and dental insurance.
My wife and I always knew we wanted to return to West Michigan to raise our family. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to join Dr. Aimee and become part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional care for children.
I hold hospital privileges at Butterworth Hospital and Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, allowing me to provide dental care for children who require treatment in a hospital setting.
We are blessed with four wonderful children — three girls and one boy. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as playing basketball and golf, running, biking, and reading. During the fall, you can often find me cheering on my favorite team, the Michigan Wolverines, and singing “Hail to the Victors” on Saturdays.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a profession that allows me to make a positive impact in the lives of children and their families. I am committed to providing the highest quality dental care in a comfortable, caring, and positive environment for every child I have the privilege to treat.
Dr. Lauren M. Feuerstein, DDS
Pediatric Dentist
I grew up in Indiana and discovered my passion for dentistry thanks to a neighbor who was a dentist and inspired me to pursue the profession.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, before attending Indiana University School of Dentistry. While in dental school, I met my husband, Adam, a Grand Rapids native. Following graduation, I completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
After residency, my husband and I decided it was time to make West Michigan our home so we could be closer to family and enjoy everything the lakeshore has to offer. I was fortunate to find the opportunity to join Drs. Aimee and Chris and become part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and their families.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time at the lake with family, exploring Michigan's beautiful trails through walks and hikes, and traveling whenever I can. I also love snow skiing and am a devoted Peloton enthusiast. In the fall, you'll often find me cheering on the Michigan State Spartans alongside my husband, a lifelong Spartan fan. Our two young boys keep life busy, active, and full of adventure.
One of the things I love most about pediatric dentistry is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with families and watch children grow over the years. I am passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality dental care and strive to create a positive experience for every child who visits our office.
