Pediatric Sedation Dentistry in Rockford & Grand Rapids
At SixOneSix Dentistry for Children, it is our goal to always treat our patients in the safest, most comfortable, and least invasive manner possible.
Drs. Valleau, VanDeven, and Feuerstein recognize that for some patients, treatment using basic behavior management techniques is not a viable option. We also understand that some patients, because of their extensive dental treatment needs, inability to cooperate in the dental setting, and/or some medical conditions, may benefit from dental treatment in the hospital setting.
Our doctors have been specially trained to provide dental care for children under general anesthesia and are credentialed to practice within the Corewell Health Hospital System.
We offer three different types of sedation dentistry:
- For our in-office procedures we offer in-office IV sedation or in-office general anesthesia.
- Our doctors work with both Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Associates who specialize in IV sedation and CarePoint Anesthesia who specialize in our in-office general anesthesia option. We do not prefer one over the other and we use both based off their availability.
- For patients that may not medically qualify for in-office sedation, our doctors provide dental treatment under general anesthesia at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
